Azulejo Shawl

Azulejo is an oversized colorful shawl knit in the softest naturally dyed merino wool from Swans Island. The bright colors and geometric pattern make this shawl stand out as a warm or cool weather accessory. This large and comfy shawl is knit from the top down, increasing on every RS row to grow out to the bottom edge. The pattern is divided into 10 sections, alternating between color work charts and stripes or blocks of color. It is then finished with a large single tassel.

Gauge: 20sts x 24 rows = 4” (10cm) with US 7 in colorwork chart

Finished Measurements: 36”/91.5cm long at center point, 75”/190.5cm wide

Materials Used: Swans Island Yarn Natural Colors; 100% Merino 10ply Worsted Weight (100g/250 yards)

• 2 skeins Bittersweet (Color A)
• 2 skeins Oyster (Color B)

Needle Size: 

• US 7 - 4.5mm circular needle 32” or longer
• US 9 - 5.5mm (for bind-off)
